The Pack are having a break. The younger members of The Pack have decided to help explore a newly discovered world that had been wandering through space and had be pulled into orbit around a star.. The older members of the Pack have voted to stay at home in a very posh resort in Traxsend, drink lots of beer and play with their bike up the mountains.
Datch has acquired a vehicle to help the exploration of the new planet and in normal Datch style, it is a little on the big side. They are technically working for the IPSF but its more a holiday for them - well to start with anyway. Will they find life, will they discover a civilisation, Will Datch blow the planet up? Read the Orphaned world to find out.
Just a small part of the Adventure
Datch hit the comms.
"Tish, Dapo, get your asses back here now!"
"OK, we're just..." said Dapo, and the comms cut off.
In the tunnel, Dapo looked down the tunnel. There was now a red light running along the top and bottom channels, and where the V was, a bright glow started to appear in the shafts coming up from the depths of the planet. The glow got brighter and brighter, and then lava came rushing up through the tubes and hurtling down the tunnel. Dapo jumped on top of Tish to protect her from the lava as it reached them. The wall behind her moved.
The lava came rushing past the alcove, incinerating everything in sight. At the end of the tunnel, it carried on in an invisible tunnel, forming a perfect cylinder of molten rock a metre in the air that shot off the end of the cliff. The stream of molten rock then poured down into the pool at the bottom of the cliff.
"Dapo! Tish!" Datch screamed into the comms unit.
There was just a hiss from the unit. He tried again and again.
